Everything dissolves into vague spaces in-between becoming something and disappearing from what it might have been.  It's not possible to find something, to paint it, and then say that it had been discovered, it's rather that by painting the process of its in-between-being, its in-between-becoming something, it is discovered to be beyond comprehension.  It's discovered that the world simultaneously lays itself bare and hides completely within its own appearance.
